15th of September 2011 — Shareluze is a scientific experiment that happened to happen in the area of stock investment. It aims at filling the niche of investment portals that concentrate on presenting its readers with organised objective textual data about the public companies. Shareluze is very proud to announce that it has got a 2011 Award of Standard of Excellence in Investment by WebAward today (please, refer to awards section to know more about the award and organisation that has awarded it). We are glad that despite of being so young and small we won this award in a competition with well-established financial companies.

Shareluze was created because of the lack of objective textual data about public companies available on the Net. Even if some web-site do point to some company documents or a company web-site, following those links for a large number of companies is unfeasible due to the required amount of time. At this very moment Shareluze serves computer-generated summaries from US SEC public filings. Three different summaries about every company is generated to give a surface and an in-depth representation of that company. That allows the reader to flick through the entire set of US public companies to pick the best ones. The reader reads the in-depth summary about the company only when desired. The web-site also has a stock screener capabilities and a good keyword search with a custom company indexing.

The technology behind the product is a blend of Natural Language Processing techniques that allow to extract vital bits of information in large texts with a distributed computing paradigm that allows fast processing of big chunks of texts stored on different machines in parallel.

As of now Shareluze is in the stage of deciding whether to take a commercial development route or to become a free open-source community project.
